How to change or cancel your flight

Now that there are no change fees for most Economy and premium cabin tickets for flights within the U.S.; between the U.S. and Mexico or the Caribbean; or for international travel originating in the U.S., you have even more flexibility to adjust your plans. Read on for step-by-step instructions.

To learn more about the types of credit that may be available when you change or cancel your flight, visit our Travel Credits page.

Please note that certain tickets cannot be changed on united.com or the United mobile app, including tickets booked through another airline (if the ticket receipt does not begin with 016). Please contact the original ticketing airline to make changes.
