When roots 🤝 route The moment our first flight to Ulaanbaatar landed, we made history as the first U.S. airline with service to Mongolia. But for Digital Technology Associate Project Manager Grace T., it meant a new opportunity to connect with her heritage. Decades ago, Grace’s grandmother moved to the U.S. from Mongolia with her two young daughters, working as a circus performer and making frequent trips back to Asia. (In fact, she became a proud 1K member!) Grace has only had the opportunity to visit Mongolia once as a child – and she's looking forward to returning to reconnect with family, her favorite food and share the place that’s long felt like home with others. #AAPIHeritageMonth

Today we join the entire airline industry and others that employ FAA-certified technicians to celebrate Technical Operations Employee Appreciation Day and Aviation Maintenance Technician Day. There, she discovered unexpected landscapes, wildlife and even runways. BaoTran hiked to the top of an actual airstrip built on top of a glacier that was once used to fly in researchers and supplies when the icy sea made traveling by ship impossible. So there's even an aviation angle in Antarctica. 😉🧊✈️
