Certain seats are made available to persons with a disability if the request is made at least 24 hours in advance of the scheduled flight. Possible accommodations may include:
- An aisle chair to more easily access the aircraft
- A seat in a row with a movable aisle armrest
- Any other seat that provides greater legroom than other seats on the side of the aisle that best accommodates a disability
- Adjoining seats
If you would like to request this type of accommodation, or if you plan to travel with a specialized seating device, you should call United's 24-hour Accessibility Desk at 1-800-228-2744 within the United States or Canada, or from elsewhere call United's Customer Contact Center and ask to be connected to the Accessibility Desk. Approvals may be required for the use of some seating devices.
