United Adventure Bear program

Delivering smiles around the globe.

The mission of the United Adventure Bear program is to bring smiles to children in need across the globe. Proceeds from the program benefit organizations that help children through health struggles and economic hardship. The 2014 program benefits Happy Hearts Fund, a non-profit foundation dedicated to rebuilding schools after natural disasters.

About the program

The United Adventure Bear program was created to increase United's impact in the communities we serve and extend customer and co-worker engagement opportunities. United collaborated with GUND® to create the limited-edition Ben Flyin teddy bear to serve as this year’s program ambassador.

Fundraising: The fundraising period takes place in June and July. Proceeds benefit organizations that help children and their families during health struggles or economic hardship. The 2014 beneficiary partner is Happy Hearts Fund.

Bear deliveries: In September and October, program partners and United co-workers will deliver bears to children around the globe who are experiencing health struggles or economic hardship. Adventure Bears have traveled within the U.S. as well as to Australia, China, Colombia, England, Germany, Ireland, Israel, Japan, Mexico, Micronesia, Panama, Peru, Philippines, Portugal, Spain and Vietnam.
