Almost anyone can rent a car from any country. No, you do not have to be a member, but by signing in you can save a car rental to your MileagePlus account and take advantage of other benefits that may be available.
Will I earn MileagePlus miles and car rental points on my reservation?
Yes, you may add your MileagePlus number and/or your car loyalty program number to your reservation to earn miles/points for your booking.
Do you provide a receipt for the car reservation?
A confirmation number and email summary will be provided on united.com. This may be used to pick up the car. The car rental receipt will be provided by the car rental company.
Do you offer discounts or accept car promotional coupons?
Yes, you may enter car promotion codes on the car search form prior to beginning your search. You may also use corporate discount plan codes in your car search. You will also have an opportunity to provide this information later in the car reservation.
Can I book a one-way car rental?
Yes, you may enter in a different drop-off location for your car rental. One-way rental fees may apply depending on the car rental company.
Can I pick up at non-airport locations?
No, currently united.com only accepts reservations for pickup and drop-off at airport locations.
Can I change or cancel my reservation?
Yes, you may make changes to your reservation by contacting the car rental company directly. You may cancel your reservation by accessing it under the car reservations section of united.com. There are no cancellation fees for canceling or modifying your car reservation.
Will I be charged for my car reservation in advance?
No, you may make a car rental reservation without providing any payment or credit/debit card information on united.com.
Does united.com charge any booking fees or service fees to make a reservation?
No, there is no service fee to access and use united.com to make your car rental.
Can I choose extra special equipment with my reservation?
