If I recently purchased United Wi-Fi access on a flight, can I apply that purchase toward the cost of a United Wi-Fi subscription?
Previous United Wi-Fi purchases cannot be used toward the purchase of a United Wi-Fi subscription.
How do I use my United Wi-Fi subscription?
Connect to the “United_Wi-Fi” network and go to www.unitedwifi.com.. Sign in to your MileagePlus account or look for the “Subscriber sign-in” links.
Can I use my United Wi-Fi subscription if my final destination is outside my subscribed region?
When you purchase a United Wi-Fi subscription, you can choose North and Central America or Global as your subscribed region. If you purchase a North and Central America subscription and your origin or destination city is outside of this region, you will need to purchase separate Wi-Fi internet access for that flight if you want to connect to the internet.
Can I change my subscription from North and Central America to a Global subscription?
You can change your subscription from North and Central America to Global at any time on the My Account page. Changing your subscription will extend its duration for another month or year, whichever is applicable. For monthly subscriptions, no residual value is applied to the new monthly subscription. For annual subscriptions, we’ll automatically apply any remaining value of your existing subscription to the cost of the new subscription and you will be required to pay any remaining value for the new subscription. Please note that when changing annual subscriptions to a higher level, the original form of payment will be used. (If you used miles to purchase the annual subscription initially, miles will need to be used for the new subscription; if a credit card was used initially, a credit card will need to be used for the new subscription). Subscribers will need to pay the difference in subscription fees if applicable when switching from a North and Central American subscription to a Global subscription.
Will my subscription auto-renew?
Yes, we offer the option for automatic renewal of Wi-Fi subscriptions so that there is no disruption in service. If auto-renew is selected, annual subscriptions will be automatically renewed 30 days prior to the expiration date to the form of payment on file at the price effective that day. Monthly subscriptions will be automatically renewed on the expiration date to the form of payment on file at the price effective that day. If you do not want to renew your Wi-Fi subscription, please cancel your renewal more than 30 days prior to the expiration date of your subscription in the My Account page. The My Account page also offers the possibility to change the form of payment used for auto-renew and toggle your auto-renew setting on or off.
