Tips and Discounts for Senior Travelers

Travel tips

Being an older adult shouldn’t stop you from taking advantage of United's convenient flights to so many great locations. However, we also know that as an older adult, you may have additional needs and concerns when you fly. To put you at ease, we offer the following tips to help make your travel less stressful.

Extra time: It’s always a good idea to give yourself extra time to get to the airport and to get from the entrance of the airport to your departure gate. Please see Check-in and airport processing times to help you plan for your departure.

Extra assistance: If you or someone you’re traveling with needs assistance at the airport because of a disability, we’re more than happy to help. If you have additional questions regarding accessible services, please call United's Accessibility Desk at 1-800-228-2744 within the United States or Canada, or from elsewhere, call the United Customer Contact Center and ask to be connected to the Accessibility Desk. We’re also able to help you store and retrieve any assistive devices that you need when you travel.

Extra personalization: For travelers seeking a more personalized experience, we offer Signature Service, provided by Global Airport Concierge. Your Signature Service concierge will manage all your airport travel details, including meeting you upon your arrival at the airport to escort you through security and to a United Club℠ location. If needed, your Signature Service concierge can communicate with your loved ones, providing peace of mind while you travel. United Signature Service is currently available for customers traveling to, from or through Amsterdam, Beijing, Berlin, Chicago O'Hare, Frankfurt, Hong Kong, Houston, London Heathrow, Los Angeles, Melbourne, Milan, Munich, New York LaGuardia, New York/Newark, Paris Charles de Gaulle, Rome, San Francisco, Sydney, Tel Aviv, Toronto and Washington Dulles.

We look forward to making your flight a more comfortable one soon.
