Assistance at the airport
Flight information display systems
Flight information display systems are available at many of our airport facilities. Gate agents also provide verbal flight information including boarding announcements and flight irregularities. We ask any customer with a sensory disability to relay any special needs directly to our airport employees at each point of contact throughout the airport, including ticket counters, gates, customer service centers and baggage claim areas.
Telecommunications device for the deaf (TDD)
Each of our domestic airport facilities has at least one TDD. You can make reservations using a TDD by calling 1-800-323-0170.
Airport kiosks
We’ve added tactile buttons and speech output to some of our airport kiosks. These kiosks are marked as accessible with a label that includes Braille. To begin using an accessible kiosk, plug your headphones into the headphone jack and audio instructions will begin to play. Learn more about what you can do on Airport kiosks.
Security screening
The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) requires airport security screening for all customers, including customers with disabilities.
