United Economy dining

United Economy® travelers can enjoy a variety of refreshments, snacks and more on board. Some are complimentary while others are available to purchase. The exact items available on your flight may vary depending on your destination or the length of the flight.

If you’d like to purchase food or drinks on board, don’t forget to save a form of payment ahead of time.

Non-alcoholic beverages including coffee, tea, soft drinks and juice are complimentary and available all day on all flights. On flights traveling less than 300 miles, these drinks are available upon request – just ask your flight attendant.

Alcoholic beverages are available for purchase on all flights traveling to or from the domestic U.S., Latin America and Canada. Wine and beer are complimentary in United Economy® on long-haul international flights, and liquor is available for purchase. All alcoholic beverages, including liquor, are complimentary in United Premium Plus®.

Visit our Inflight Beverages page to learn more about our drink offerings.

For flights under 800 miles long, we won’t have complimentary snacks available, but you’re always welcome to bring your own snacks on board.

Flights over 500 miles will also have additional products like snack boxes, and flights 1500 miles and over have Bistro on Board items available for purchase. Visit the Bistro on Board page for more information on food and drinks for sale in United Economy.

If you’re flying in United Economy on an international flight that is 800 miles or more, you’ll receive an entrée, a salad and salad dressing, a snack, and (on select flights) ice cream and a hot pre-arrival meal. You may also receive mid-flight and pre-arrival items on select flights.
