Change the Name on Your MileagePlus Account
Change your MileagePlus information
The name, gender and date of birth on your MileagePlus® account should match the government-issued ID you show at the airport. To change your personal information, follow these steps.
How to make changes
You can make changes to your name, gender and date or birth on your own. Sign in to your MileagePlus account, select “Profile”, “About me” and then “Edit personal information”.
After you make the changes, you’ll need to support your claim. Upload a copy of one of the following legal documents as proof:
- Marriage license
- Divorce decree
- Legal name change document
- Government-issued IDs that show your new and old information
If you do not have any of these documents, you can upload a notarized name change affidavit form.
It can take up to two weeks to process MileagePlus account changes. If you need to change your information again, you’ll have to submit new documents. For more help with your account, contact the MileagePlus Service Center.
