Israeli Aviation Services Law

Denied boarding or cancellation or delay

Israeli Aviation Services Law (IASL) requires airlines to provide notice if you are denied boarding or if your flight from or to Israel is canceled or delayed for at least two hours. Ask the check-in counter or boarding gate for the text stating your rights, particularly with regard to compensation and assistance. Please refer to our Notice of Your Rights in English and Hebrew for more information.

Please refer to United’s Contract of Carriage for the general terms and conditions applying to your transportation.

Important notice

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis and in accordance with Provisional Amendments to the Israel Aviation Services Law (IASL) the benefits provided for under the law were restricted to the effect that, among others, statutory compensation in cases of cancellations shall not be payable for flights operated between March 1, 2020, until July 6, 2021.

In addition, under the Provisional Amendments to the IASL, refunds are payable within 90 days of the date of the canceled flight, and for flights scheduled from December 15, 2020, until July 6, 2021, within 30 days of the date of the canceled flight. Please further note that refunds for unused travel documents can be consensually replaced by a voucher.

For additional information, please review the above-mentioned Provisional Amendments and Decree here.
