Terms and conditions

Valid for travel on United and United Express only. Star Alliance^® or marketed codeshare flights do not provide United Polaris StudioS^SM seating. United Polaris STUDIO purchases reserves seats within the United Polaris Studio seating area. Specific seat assignments are not guaranteed. United Polaris Studio purchases are processed based on seat availability at time of purchase.
Premier qualifying points (PQP) earned from United Polaris Studio purchases count towards earning for all Premier status levels. PQP earned from United Polaris Studio purchases also count towards earning incremental PlusPoints for eligible members.
PQP accrual on United Polaris Studio purchases will be determined based upon the accrual structure in effect at the time of travel, not at the time that the seat is purchased, booked or reserved, or the time that retro-credit is requested. You must provide your MileagePlus number and have the flights posted to your account to earn PQP.
The ability to redeem miles for a United Polaris Studio seat purchase is available only for flights entirely within the 50 United States that are operated by United or United Express and for select flights to destinations outside of the U.S., as determined by United in its sole discretion.
You'll get an automatic refund for your United Polaris Studio seat if your flight is canceled or changed, or you end up flying in standard Polaris due to a travel disruption.
All refunds are credited to the original form of payment used. Credit card refunds will be processed within 7 business days. All other refunds will be processed within 20 business days. If the refund doesn’t post within one billing cycle, contact your credit card company for information.
For United Polaris Studio refunds that aren’t issued automatically, you must submit your request within 90 days of the later of the following two dates:
- The date when the fee was originally paid.
- The flight date.
If you purchased a seat with miles and decide to upgrade, you'll be refunded the cost of your original seat and charged the cost of the new seat. For all other payment methods, you'll be charged the price difference. If you do not receive your purchased seat a refund will be issued after your flight. If you have not received your refund within 20 days, please submit a refund request.
