United Universal Air Travel Plan (UATP)
The United UATP (Universal Air Travel Plan) is a corporate central billing program that provides companies with a method to purchase airline tickets on United and over 180 worldwide airlines, as well as Amtrak® tickets.

United will open a line of credit, a UATP account, for your company. Your company uses the United UATP to purchase tickets on United, Amtrak and other UATP-accepting merchants. United sends one detailed statement for all air travel and Amtrak tickets purchased through the UATP program.

Your company may opt to distribute cards to frequent travelers, set up a cardless (“ghost”) account, or choose a combination of the two.

Program benefits

  • United UATP is a centrally-billed form of payment, so subscribing companies receive just one statement detailing all tickets purchased.
  • No individual credit checks are performed.
  • The United UATP furnishes valuable information for travel pattern and airline spend analysis. No-cost reports cover categories such as top airlines, purchase location, department/account spend and ticket data.
  • The United UATP provides access to your account information via a password-protected secure site on the Internet.
  • Enhanced electronic billing files can be imported or downloaded directly into corporate accounting systems.
  • Low risk of abuse: Companies receive statements and cardless accounts can be “lodged” (kept on file) at a chosen travel agency, so travel policy adherence can be monitored.
  • Unlike other corporate forms of payment, United UATP does not charge fees for cards, ghost accounts and reports.
  • No late payment fees are charged.
  • Billing and reporting are flexible to meet a company's needs.

The applying company should:

  • Be in business for at least two years.
  • Have a low to medium six-figure income.
  • Submit audited financial statements.
  • Spend at least $20,000 per year in air travel.
