CHICAGO, March 23, 2009 – United Airlines is helping customers save their spare rubles this March with incredibly low fares from throughout the U.S. to Moscow.   United begins its first-ever non-stop, capital-to-capital service between Washington Dulles and Moscow on March 29.

Purchase Requirements: Tickets must be purchased at least 7 days in advance and ticketed within 24 hours of making reservations, but no later than March 26, 2009.  Reservations and ticket purchases on united.com must be completed simultaneously.

Travel Days/Dates:   Fares are valid for travel from U.S. origins to Moscow on Tuesday and Thursday and from Moscow Monday and Wednesday
starting March 31, 2009.  Travel must be complete by April 29, 2009.  Other day of week travel may be higher.

Min./Max. Stay:   Fares require a Saturday night minimum stay and a stay of 30 days is permitted.

Additional Taxes/Fees:   U.S./Puerto Rico/U.S. Virgin Islands fares do not include a $3.60 per flight segment tax.   A flight segment is defined as one takeoff and one landing.  Fares do not include the September 11th Security Fee of $2.50 per enplanement at a U.S. airport or Passenger Facility Charges of up to $18, which may be collected depending on the itinerary.  Fares for Hawaii and Alaska do not include a $8 (each way) departure tax.  For travel from Canada, fares do not include U.S. Inspection fees of $7, taxes/fees imposed by the Canadian government of up to $19.50, and a $32.20 international departure and arrival tax if outside of the 225 mile buffer zone.   All international fares are subject to U.S. arrival and departure taxes and agricultural, immigrations and customs fees of up to $50.  For travel to some countries, additional airport, transportation, embarkation, security, and passenger service taxes/surcharges of up to $250 (each way) will apply depending on destination.  For return travel from some countries, fares do not include airport and/or departure taxes of up to $45, which may be collected by the foreign government. 


Baggage Fees: 
For up to two standard weight and standard size checked bags, no checked baggage fees apply.  For more than two checked bags and for any bag that is overweight and/or oversize, additional baggage fees apply depending on itinerary. Itinerary Changes. No changes may be made after ticketed departure date for any portion of the ticket.  Tickets whose reservations are cancelled prior to the ticketed departure date are valid for travel one year from the original issuance date for a service charge of $150.  Changes made on or before departure are subject to fare rules and a service charge of $150.  If a reservation is not cancelled before the ticketed departure date, the ticket has no value.

****Bonus Miles Terms and Conditions: To qualify for this offer, members must register, then purchase and complete one paid qualifying roundtrip between the 50 United States, Canada, Puerto Rico or the U.S. Virgin Islands and Moscow, Russia, on United®-operated flights within the designated ticketing and travel periods.  For this offer, a roundtrip is defined as travel from an origin city to a destination city with return travel beginning in the outbound destination city back to the first origin city with all segments on United or United Express; a segment is defined as one takeoff and one landing.
