CHICAGO, February 3, 2009 – United Airlines today reported its preliminary consolidated traffic results for January 2009. The company reported a January consolidated passenger load factor of 75.2 percent. Total consolidated revenue passenger miles (RPMs) decreased in January by 10.9 percent on a consolidated capacity decrease of 10.5 percent in available seat miles (ASMs) compared with the same period in 2008.
