June 23, 2005

CHICAGO, June 23, 2005 –United Airlines has reached an amended agreement with United Express partner Republic Airways Holdings, Inc. to operate five additional 70-seat Embraer 170 aircraft under the United Express name by the end of 2005.

The first aircraft will be delivered in September, configured with six United First® seats, 16 Economy Plus® seats, and 48 United Economy® seats.  The agreement also calls for the removal of two 50-seat Embraer 145 aircraft currently operating as United Express.

“We are pleased to have reached this amended agreement with Republic, a move that supports United Express’s goal of meeting customer demand for an enhanced travel experience,” said Sean Donohue, United’s vice president for Operational Services, United Express and Ted.  “The Embraer 170 provides superior passenger comfort, with a wider aisle, larger seats, more baggage capacity and improved personal space and leg room.”

Republic Airways Holdings, Inc., based in Indianapolis, is a holding company that operates Chautauqua Airlines, Republic Airlines and Shuttle America.
