United's Business1 Puts Business Customers First
June 14, 2005

Chicago's largest airline offers business travelers an on-time arrival guarantee1 of 500 redeemable miles and convenient gate locations.

Chicago, June 14, 2005ýý Business travelers flying in and out of Chicago can better focus on doing business while traveling thanks to United Airlines' new special Business1(sm) perks, including dedicated and convenient departure gates, and an on-time arrival guarantee on all flights between Chicago O'Hare International Airport and seven U.S. cities.

Flights to Business1 cities will depart from the B Concourse at O'Hare, conveniently located by the ticket lobby and security.ý Customers seated in United Firstý and Economy Plusý on Business1 flights will receive complimentary newspapers on weekday flights before 10 a.m. Also, any eligible Business1 customer who does not arrive at their destination within 30 minutes of the scheduled arrival time will receive a bonus of 500 redeemable miles.

"With Business1, we provide customers traveling on key business routes more of what they want -- on-time reliability and convenient departure gates," said Dennis Cary, United's senior vice president of Marketing.ý "United remains the No. 1 airline for business travel in Chicago, with the most flights to the most destinations.ý In addition, we had the best on-time performance at O'Hare in 2004.ý To show how serious we are about serving our customers, we have added an on-time arrival guarantee with bonus miles that underscores our commitment to getting travelers to their destinations on time -- and we'll compensate them if we don't."

The guarantee will apply to flights arriving more than 30 minutes late for any reason, including weather and air traffic control delays.

Business1 flights are all nonstop United and United Express flights operating between Chicago O'Hare and to/from Boston, Dallas/Ft. Worth, Minneapolis/St. Paul, Newark, New York's LaGuardia Airport, Philadelphia and Washington D.C.'s Ronald Reagan National Airport.ý These destinations were chosen because they have the highest number of Chicago customers traveling on business.

United's customer research indicates that nine out of 10 customers rate on-time reliability as highly important, and eight out of 10 customers highly rate "ease of travel between check-in and the gate."

United's Business1 flights make travel easier with products and services that include:

Most convenient gatesý-- Business1 flights out of Chicago OýHare depart from the Terminal 1, B Concourse.ý Flights to O'Hare from Business1 cities depart from our customers' most preferred gates at these airports.
