United Express to Offer New Nonstop Service to Northwest Arkansas

United Express introduces daily, nonstop service between

Northwest Arkansas-Bentonville area and United hubs in Chicago and Denver

CHICAGO, August 31, 2004 — United Airlines (OTCBB: UALAQ.OB) today announced United Express will introduce three daily nonstop roundtrips between Chicago and Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport (XNA), serving Bentonville and the surrounding area.  In addition, United Express will offer one new daily nonstop roundtrip between Denver (DEN) and the Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport, making United Express the only nonstop service in this market.  Flights for these routes open for sale today, with service beginning Oct. 31, 2004.  

"These additional United Express routes link travelers in the Bentonville area to United hubs, where they can connect to the world," said John Tague, executive vice president of marketing, sales and revenue.  "We are pleased to extend United Express service to Northwest Arkansas, home to several major corporations."

United is offering introductory fares for travel on the new United Express routes between Northwest Arkansas and Chicago and Denver for $99 for travel from Oct. 31, 2004 through Feb. 10, 2005.  United is also offering special fares for travel between Northwest Arkansas and other U.S. cities, with connections through Chicago and Denver.  For example, travel between Northwest Arkansas and Boston, Las Vegas or San Francisco for $109, or between Northwest Arkansas and Seattle or Portland, Ore., for $129.  All introductory fares are each way based on required roundtrip purchase by Sept. 7, 2004.  Fares are valid Tuesday through Thursday only, and require a 14-day advance purchase and Saturday night minimum stay.  See fare facts below and united.com for additional details.

Service to and from Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport will be provided by SkyWest Airlines doing business as United Express using 50-seat regional jets.

United's schedules for the new routes will offer convenient times for business travelers and provide connection opportunities to United's global route network.
