Chicago, March 18, 2004ý-- United Airlines (OTCBB:UALAQ.OB) today announced a special fare sale on its new, daily nonstop service between Washington/Dulles International Airport (IAD) and Zurich, Switzerland (ZRH), which begins June 3, 2004.ý

Customers who purchase qualifying tickets from Washington/Dulles to Zurichýby March 21st for travel between June 3, 2004, and June 30, 2004 can enjoy fares of $249 each way based on required roundtrip purchase.ý Customers can travel from San Francisco or Los Angeles to Zurich during the same time period for $299 each way, also based on required roundtrip purchase by March 21st.ý Whatýs more, customers who purchase their tickets on united.com will earn an additional 1,000 Mileage Plusý miles1.ý

Once service begins, United will be the only airline offering daily nonstop flights between Washington/Dulles and Zurich, and all flights will be served by Boeing 767 aircraft.ý ýUnited also recently announced that it will begin daily, nonstop service from Chicago OýHare International Airport (ORD) to Osaka, Japan (KIX) beginning June 10, 2004, and to Buenos Aires, Argentina (EZE) by the end of October 2004.

2. FARE FACTS: Fares above are each way based on required roundtrip purchase for United Economyý travel on United Airlinesý. Seats are limited and may not be available on all flights/dates. Purchase Requirements: Tickets must be ticketed within 48 hours of making reservations, but no later than 3/21/04. Fares apply to U.S. point-of-sale only.ý Reservations and ticket purchases on united.com must be completed simultaneously. Travel Days/Dates: Fares are valid Monday through Thursday for travel commencing between 6/03/04 and 6/30/04. Fares for other days of the week are higher. Blackout Dates: None Min./Max.
