If you purchased your tickets on or after March 9, 2011, please see the baggage fee information below relating to special items and oversized, overweight and excess baggage. All fees shown below are for one direction of travel only, and apply only when checking in with United. When checking in with a United codeshare partner, please contact that carrier regarding its oversized, overweight and excess baggage policies. 

Please note: 

• If an item fits the criteria for more than one of the fees below, then multiple fees may apply.
• When a single direction of travel includes multiple flights for which different baggage fees would apply, the higher baggage fee will be charged.
• For fee information relating to travel wholly within Asia, please contact United Reservations at 1-800-UNITED-1 (1-800-864-8331) within the U.S., or from outside the U.S. call your local reservations office.
• Conversion rates are subject to change.
• Additional exemptions may apply for travel within the U.S. and Canada or international travel.
• Airport authorities in some cities strictly limit checked baggage to 70 pounds (32 kg) per item. Any piece of checked baggage exceeding the 70-pound limit must be repackaged into smaller units. Please review our overweight baggage information.
