Announcing the new United app now available for iPhone®, iPod® and Android® devices.

Our new app is your travel toolkit. Now you can book both United® and Continental® flights, check flight and upgrade status, view your MileagePlus® or OnePass® account information, check in and receive a mobile boarding document and more directly from your mobile device. Available for iPhone, iPod and Android devices, the new United app lets you take care of your travel needs anytime.


Key features include:

  • Flight booking – Book flights* on Continental and United directly from the app on your mobile device
  • Check-in and mobile boarding documents – Store your mobile boarding document for easy access at security and during boarding
  • Flight status – Check your upgrade status and view in-flight amenities, departure gates and more
  • Flight status notification – Receive automatic updates on your mobile device for selected flights
  • Seat maps – Select seats, choose Economy Plus® and extra legroom seating
  • Frequent flyer account access – Check your MileagePlus and OnePass account information
  • Airport maps – Zoom in on terminal maps for help navigating through the airport
  • Flight view – See real-time maps of flight paths and weather conditions

Additional features include United ClubSM locations and contact information, easy access to our social media sites, DIRECTV® listings and Sudoku games.


*Award booking is currently available for Continental OnePass members only. Award booking for MileagePlus members is coming soon.

Mobile boarding documents

Choose to have your boarding document sent directly to your mobile device via email for qualifying itineraries. No printing is necessary. Once you receive your boarding document, simply scan the barcode on the screen at airport security checkpoints and at the gate during boarding. If a seat change, upgrade or change in departure gate occurs, your boarding document can be refreshed to display the new information.

Mobile check-in

Mobile check-in is available for United- and United Express-operated flights worldwide. Use your mobile device to check in starting 24 hours prior to your scheduled departure. The latest possible time for check-in, baggage check and boarding may vary based on your departure airport and destination.
