In neighboring CivicCenterPark, the ColoradoHistoryMuseum tells the state's story, while the DenverArt Museum is notable for its Native American collection as well as the African, oceanic, and Western American collections housed in its new $90.5 million, titanium-clad expansion. Other museums in and around town include the Black American West Museum in the historic Five Points District, the Museum of Western Art in a building that served as a brothel during the Gold Rush, and Buffalo Bill's Memorial Museum and Mountain Parks over the Coors brewery just 20 miles west of downtown in Golden.
