Revised ticket policy for Hurricane Lane
| Ticket policy changes are effective immediately for customers with the following travel plans:
Dates and cities impacted
Traveling on September 15 - September 18 to and from the following cities:
(with tickets purchased on or before September 14)
- Cabo/Los Cabos, Mexico
- Puerto Vallarta, Mexico
Summary of reaccomodation policy changes
- All United®, United Express®, TedSM and United code-share flights are covered under the policy.
- Changes must be made by midnight of your original travel date.
- Rescheduled travel may originate no later than September 30, 2006. (For wholly unused tickets.)
- For customers currently en route who would like to make one change to their return trip: Rules and restrictions regarding standard change fees, advance purchase, day or time applications, blackouts, and minimum or maximum stay requirements have been waived. Origin and destination cities must remain the same. Code share protection must be in same booking code.
- For customers who have not begun travel: You may make one change to your travel plans without change fees or advance purchase requirement for the same itinerary. For a new itinerary, you may make one change without change fees. All rescheduled travel may be subject to higher fares if it does not meet original rule and booking code restrictions or is a new itinerary.
- Only customers with already cancelled flights are eligible for a full refund.
- Policies also apply to Mileage Plus®, consolidator and internet tickets (including Hotwire and Priceline).
To change your reservation, please contact United at 1-800-UNITED-1 or your travel agency.
United will continue to monitor the situation and adjust ticketing policies as necessary.
