United flight mileage credit
If you forgot to add your Mileage Plus account number to your reservation or at check-in, or you believe miles earned for your flight activity were not credited to your account, please remember that you must wait at least 72 hours (United, TED or United Express) after your flight has been completed before requesting retro-credit. For partner retro-credit, allow 14 days from the date of qualifying flight activity, as it can take up to 14 days to appear on your mileage summary.

Request credit for my flight
In the event that mileage earned with United Airlines does not appear on your Mileage Plus Summary, you may request a credit subject to the following conditions:
- Flight activity occurred on or after your enrollment date in Mileage Plus.
- Flight activity occurred less than 12 months ago. Requests for greater than 12 months will not be honored.
- The name on your ticket should match the name on your account and the name as it appears on your passport or travel identification.

The following information will also be considered when validating flight activity on United flights:
  • Flight Information should be for completed flights flown on United, Ted or United Express. For irregular operations, reroutes, and schedule changes use the flight information for the actual flight flown, not the flight that was ticketed.
  • The more complete and accurate the information, the easier it will be to process.
  • Please do not submit requests for retro credit on United flights until 72 hours after completion or 14 days for Star Alliance or Other Airline carriers of your trip.
  • Flight activity that has already been credited to a frequent flier account (partner or United) is not eligible to be posted to a second account number or a different frequent flyer program.

Request retroactive credit for your completed flight on a Star Alliance or Other Airline Partner by mail. Remember that your flight must have occurred less than 12 months ago for it to be eligible for credit.

  1. To submit your request for credit, please send a written request with the information listed below:
    • Your name and Mileage Plus account number
    • A copy of your ticket or E-Ticket receipt
    • Your original boarding pass
