Fancy "burp cups" carried aboard Boeing 247 and Douglas DC-3 aircraft were handy aids for passengers who felt airsick during bumpy rides in unpressurized aircraft.

Plastic tray complemented plastic dinnerware used for meal service on Boeing 247 flights in the mid-to-late-1930s. Plastic soup/salad bowl and bread plate were part of the inflight dinnerware during the era of Douglas DC-3 transport.

Complimentary cigarettes from metal containers such as this Lucky Strike tin from the DC-3 era were among inflight amenities offered from the mid-1930s through the early 1940s.
