Contact Refunds with questions regarding:

  • Refund status (please allow 7-10 business days after the request has been submitted)
  • Tickets that include travel outside the U.S/Canada
  • Paper-issued tickets
  • Tickets purchased by check, cash or other form of payment.
    Note:  Mileage plus award travel re-credit requests must be submitted to the

Refunds are issued to the original form of payment. Refund requests are subject to the ticket rules. Some tickets may require a service fee, which will be deducted from the refund amount. Requests for ticket refunds not purchased directly from United, such as those purchased from travel agents, web sites other than united.com or tickets purchased as part of a vacation package should be returned to the original purchasing source.
