United history

Posters, sales brochures and tent cards are among the items United used Oct. 29, 2002, to launch its new service between Washington, D.C., (Dulles) and both Sao Paulo, Brazil, and Buenos Aires, Argentina. The company was the first U.S. carrier to offer nonstop service between the U.S. capital and South America, and flights were timed to allow travelers to connect to dozens of other United and United Express destinations across the United States. The flights also were a boon to cargo customers, providing them with the only nonstop service between Washington, D.C., and deep South America.
