The Star Alliance was established in 1997 as the first truly global airline alliance to offer customers a worldwide travel network that aims to provide a seamless travel experience across multiple airlines. It all began with five renowned airlines, today there are 24 member airlines. The Star Alliance network offers more than 17,000 daily flights to 916 destinations in 160 countries.
