Sara A. Fields is the senior vice president - Onboard Service for United Airlines. Named to the position in July 1994, Fields is responsible for more than 25,000 professional flight attendants, including their training, scheduling and management, inflight service design and delivery, as well as the airline's worldwide catering operations. Prior to joining United in 1963 as a flight attendant, Fields worked for Boeing Aircraft. She has held a variety of management positions at United, including vice president-Inflight Service; manager-Flight Attendant Training; manager-Denver Flight Attendant Domicile; manager-Industrial Relations; director- Inflight Service, International; and director-Employee Relations.
