Margaret Arnott, one of the original eight stewardesses, and Ada Brown Greenfield, a former United flight attendant, chief stewardess and co-founder of the world's first cabin attendant union, joined vice president-Inflight Service Sara Fields for the 60th anniversary celebration on May 15, 1990. The event coincided with United's inaugural flight from Washington Dulles to Frankfurt.
