United Stewardess Lillian Kinkela joined the U. S. Army Nurse Corps in 1943 and became the most decorated woman in U. S. Military history. Her honors included European Theater of Operation--Four Battle Stars, Air Medal--Three Oak Leaf Clusters, Presidential Unit Citation--One Oak Leaf Cluster, Korean Service Medal--Seven Battle Stars, American Campaign Medal, United Defense Medal, and Presidential Citation, Republic of Korea.
