United history

A courier serves lunch, consisting of sandwiches wrapped in wax paper and a beverage in a paper cup, to an air traveler seated in a steel bucket-type chair on a Ford Tri-Motor airplane. National Air Transport, a predecessor of United Airlines, used male couriers on some routes (c. 1927).
