United history

The world's first fixed-wing aircraft stewards were three 14 year-old boys hired by The Daimler Airway of Britain, a predecessor company of British Airways. They were hired for their small stature and weight. "Little Jack" Sanderson, one of the original three, assists a passenger (c. 1922).
