United history

The first tri-engined jetliner to enter U.S. commercial air service, United's Boeing 727 provided the convenience of jet service to passengers flying short-to-medium range routes. Forty of these airplanes were delivered to United by the Boeing Airplane Company, commencing Oct. 29, 1963.
