United history

Delivered to United in May 1995, the industry's first Boeing 777 twinjet was hailed as the most significant Boeing aircraft since the initial Boeing 747 joined United's fleet in July 1970. More than 20,000 men and women worked on the five-year project that culminated in June 1995 with United's introduction of the world's first "Triple 7" service.
