Physics was a major part of the pilot instructor training program conducted at the Boeing School of Aeronautics (BSA) for the Civil Aeronautics Authority in 1939. BSA replaced the course in 1941 with a program that qualified more than 7,000 ground technicians for the U.S. armed services in World War II.
