Bottle Shock
In 1976, Parisian winemakers scoffed at California vintners. That is, until a blind taste test set up by British expatriate Steven Spurrier pitted the wines against each other. Based on a true story, this film tells the tale of Spurrier’s trip to Napa Valley to sample American wines. Will the local winemakers willingly participate in the tasting? Jim Barrett, the owner of Chateau Montelena, is sure Spurrier means to embarrass them all. But Barrett’s laid-back son, Bo, has a different opinion. Featuring: Alan Rickman, Bill Pullman.
