United is constantly working to create the best and largest club network of any U.S. carrier. This effort includes upcoming renovations to United ClubSM locations around the world. We've started by opening a brand-new United Club location at Chicago O’Hare, and we’ll proceed with redesigning several other locations in 2013 and beyond.
Introducing our first newly designed location
The new Chicago O’Hare United Club, located in Terminal 2, opened on December 23, 2012. With a 12,500-square-foot floor plan and seating for 300 guests, it offers room for working or relaxing. Design features of the club are meant to convey United’s identity and a sense of flight. For example, the lights above the bar represent our globe symbol, and the swept ceiling resembles an airplane wing. Some of the tables and lights are inspired by jet engine designs, and the restroom mirrors are shaped like the windows on the 787 Dreamliner.
The entire back wall of the lounge features floor-to-ceiling windows, giving visitors a great view of the airport and letting in natural light. At night and on cloudier days, the lights inside the club will automatically adjust to keep the room at just the right level of brightness. The club design also features a large bar and seating area where you can enjoy complimentary beverages as well as premium wines and spirits.
As a result of the new location’s opening, the old United Club location in Terminal 2 has closed permanently.
