Qatar

Effective September 14, 2012, our MileagePlus® partnership with Qatar Airways has ended. Flights on or after September 15, 2012, are not eligible for mileage accrual. Members may claim mileage credit for Qatar Airways flights flown on or before September 14, 2012, through March 13, 2013. Please refer to the requesting mileage credit section of our site for information on obtaining missing mileage credit. Award tickets issued on or before September 14, 2012, will be honored as ticketed and are valid for one year from date of issue.

Qatar Airways is the national carrier of the State of Qatar. Qatar flies to over 80 destinations across America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, the Far East and the Indian subcontinent.

Codeshare: United Airlines® flight numbers UA 7945-7974 are operated by Qatar Airways.

Destinations: From Doha, Qatar, (DOH) to Washington, D.C. (IAD), New York (JFK) and select points in Europe; from Doha to points in Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

Earning miles

Earn a minimum of 500 MileagePlus® miles on all qualifying Qatar Airways flights, except as noted in the chart below. You’ll earn miles according to the booking class that you purchase.

To receive mileage credit, present your MileagePlus number when you make reservations and make sure that it appears on your boarding pass at check-in.

All other fare classes do not accrue mileage. United Airlines® and Qatar Airways reserve the right to change the eligible fare classes at any time without notice. If you purchase a ticket on a flight that is marketed by Qatar Airways but operated by another airline (known as a codeshare flight), the operating airline determines how many miles you earn for your flight. Note that the booking class that appears on your ticket may differ from the booking class that the operating airline uses to determine flight miles earned.
