bmi Effective April 20, 2012, bmi formally withdrew from the Star Alliance® network. MileagePlus® members no longer earn miles or receive further benefits or recognition on bmi-operated flights as of June 1, 2012. Members may claim mileage credit for previously flown bmi-operated flights through May 31, 2013, for flights flown on or before May 31, 2012. Please refer to the requesting mileage credit section of our site for information on obtaining missing mileage credit. Award tickets issued on or before May 31, 2012, will be honored as ticketed and are valid for one year from date of issue.

Earning miles
Earn MileagePlus® miles on all qualifying bmi flights, except as noted in the chart below. You’ll earn miles according to the booking class that you purchase.
To receive mileage credit, present your MileagePlus number when you make reservations and make sure that it appears on your boarding pass at check-in.
The miles you earn on bmi qualify toward MileagePlus Premier® status, with 50% bonus MileagePlus Premier qualifying miles for paid first, business or full-fare economy tickets.
